Saudi Judge supports marriage of man to an 8 year old girl
The TN Atheist gives Christianity a lot of grief for the epidemic of abuse and molestation many of its followers have dealt upon innocent children. Even though this is a clear problem taking place in churches of all denominations throughout the United States at least the majority of Christians have a problem with child abuse and it is illegal in the eyes of the law. This is very different from the way the religion of Islam and the law of Islamic countries such as Saudi Arabia condone and endorse the rape and abuse of young girls.
Case in point, Saturday a Saudi judge refused for the second time to grant an eight-year-old girl a divorce from her 47-year-old husband. Judge Habib al-Habib of the Unaizah Court, ruled that the girl cannot file for divorce until she reaches puberty, upholding his initial ruling refusing to annul the marriage.
The marriage contract was part of a loan repayment agreement. The groom agreed to deduct 30,000 riyals ($8,000) from a debt the father owed him in return. The 47-year-old has promised not to consummate the marriage until his bride reaches puberty. The mother sought to annul the marriage, but the judge dismissed the petition because she was not the girls’ legal guardian and could not represent her.
This is insane. To think that we pretty much fought two wars to help Saudi Arabia a country that has clearly gone bat shit crazy with Islamic fanaticism. Is the United States that dependent on oil from these sickos that we condone child trafficking and rape? The fact that Islam has so little respect for human rights that a little child can be sold into what amounts to a sex slave for a few thousand dollars shows how evil and dangerous a religion Islam truly is.
What is more troubling is many Islamic countries like Saudi Arabia are members of UN Human Rights council that try to push through resolutions such as the recent push for Anti-Blasphemy laws to make it illegal for people to criticize Islam. The United needs to seriously reconsidered our close ties with barbaric nations such as these. Something must be done to hinder the scourge of Islam from spreading further throughout the world.
